Wichita

The picture shows how was my reception in Kelsey's aunt's house, in Wichita. My last day in Pittsburg was a mix of crying moments and the good feeling about everything I had done until there.

Being with Kelsey's family was the perfect last experience in Kansas. I couldn't mention a place I had been enjoying in the USA that they were ready to drive me there for the last time.

I visited the "Keeper of the Plains" monument, and I watched a lot of movies, some of them traditional stories in the United States. We also had lunch and dinner together in different places I said I loved. It was almost Christmas, so we drove to see the lights and beautiful decorated houses.

Nevertheless, the best part of being in Wichita was the time I spent with Kelsey and her family. They all were my host family for a week, and I swear there is not better experience for an international student rather than that.

I really appreciate the time and the attention they spent with me.

Last Week in Pittsburg

My last days in Pittsburg were difficult. It was final week, and I had a lot to do, including studying for my finals. I knew I would never see again my friends, my roommates, and the campus. Although, I tried to enjoy every single minute and make them turn into unique moments.

I will never forget the ones who took a special place in my life.

It's hard to talk, even expressing my feelings with words.

I just wanna thank everybody for making my experience in USA incredible.

I'm sure who was there is gonna understand this post, the video, and the pictures.

I'm already missing that time.

Bedtimes Stories

Candies coming down from the sky, an unreal pet and a mix of stories taking place in different ways and ages just represent the fantastic family-comedy directed by Adam Shankman. "Bedtime Stories" involves funny moments with a good message: believe in your dreams.

Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) works in a big company hotel after his father sold their small one. He started to work so young and he also took care of his sister. When he was child, he had dreams and he could touch himself in the dreams, like a great hero. That didn’t come true. Skeeter continues to work in the big hotel fixing whatever is needed.

His sister Wendy (Courteney Cox) is divorced and her babysitter’s child Jill (Keri Russell) cannot stay with the two children, Bobbi (Laura Ann Kesling) and Patrick (Jonathan Morgan Heit) after school. Clumsy, tough, but understanding, Skeeter promises her sister would take care of children during the time that she will not be at home. And now, it starts the adventure.

Skeeter feels good creating ‘real’ stories to the kids. He imagines as if his friends and him were the mainly actors in the tales, like when he was a child. The difference is that, now, he just cannot create happy endings, because he doesn’t believe in that.

However, to satisfy children, who tell him all the time a happy end is the one which finishes well, Skeeter starts to move on the ending tales and realizes that these changes could give him a magical future.

Well produced, great actors and a lot of fantasy to children, Bedtime Stories involves fun and a hint of how to live happier. How the song that comes over and over during some scenes, don’t stop believin’ (Glee).
